Windows Media Player seek bar doesn't work?
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I'm at my wits end trying to figure out this problem that has been going on for a while. When I watch DVDs with Windows Media Player, either with an external DVD player or the built-in player on my laptop, I can't use the seek bar to fast forward or skip around while watching. It also doesn't update the time, so I can't see what minute I left off on if I want to pause it. This happens on both Windows 7 laptops I have. I can use the seek bar fine when playing video files I have downloaded to my computer (mp4). It's only the DVDs that don't work right. If anybody has any solutions, please help!
I know everybody recommends VLC, but it never works right for me, and anyway, when I want to watch a DVD, I want to just pop it in and play it, not have to go find VLC, open it up, navigate to the right drive, etc. So that's why I just use the built-in WMP. |
Try the Leawo Blu-ray Player application. It seems to play nicer with Windows.
