I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I'm at my wits end trying to figure out this problem that has been going on for a while. When I watch DVDs with Windows Media Player, either with an external DVD player or the built-in player on my laptop, I can't use the seek bar to fast forward or skip around while watching. It also doesn't update the time, so I can't see what minute I left off on if I want to pause it. This happens on both Windows 7 laptops I have. I can use the seek bar fine when playing video files I have downloaded to my computer (mp4). It's only the DVDs that don't work right. If anybody has any solutions, please help!
I know everybody recommends VLC, but it never works right for me, and anyway, when I want to watch a DVD, I want to just pop it in and play it, not have to go find VLC, open it up, navigate to the right drive, etc. So that's why I just use the built-in WMP.

Try the Leawo Blu-ray Player application. It seems to play nicer with Windows.
