Is a Leitch DPS 575 any good for standalone TBC?

I read on one of BlueSmurf's forum post of standalone TBCs and he mentioned ones that are "price well into the 4-digit range, from companies such as Leitch, DPS or For.A." There one I'm interested but I just want to be sure if it a good one. What cables does it require in order to link up with my S-VHS? I would like replies relatively quickly as it going to end in a day.

As a capture device from SDI out yes, as a TBC no.
