Hey, a fellow TEAC owner! I've got a question for you:
how does your Video Level meter on the front panel work? Mine is always on "LO". Never the middle arrow, never "HI". Can't find a user's manual, so I dunno what it's really supposed to indicate.

I've never had any problem running the output of DMR-ES15 directly into my capture devices. Its generated VSync/HSync signals are always nice and clean. It does re-insert Macrovision when it's detected in the source, but I've yet to find it incorrectly adding MV to a home recording.
