For the video nerds: Broadcast Engineering archives!
Take a look at this archive of "Broadcast Engineering Magazine" going back to 1959...

I used to have a subscription to Broadcast Engineering from about 2004 to 2014. I ripped out pages that looked interesting, and tossed the issues. I've got two file folders full on tearsheets that I've referred to over the years.
Funny thing: Several Videohelp members (NOT in the video profession!) used to argue with me on certain topics back in the 2000s. Very often, within a few issues, what I was saying on VH was confirmed by well-researched and thorough BE articles. Because of that, I was always curious who was lurking on VH. I made quite a few industry contacts there, usually in private. I've not been active on VH in recent years (health, time), and most argumentative users are gone, but I know that some cling to their wrongheaded information even a decade later. |
