Last factory (Funai) stops making VCRs!

Funai Electric Company, a Japanese manufacturer, announced that it will end production of VCRs by the end of July, 2016, due to declining demand and difficulty in sourcing parts. They sold 750,000 VCRs last year. Funai Electric Company makes VCRs for brands including Sanyo in the US.

Yes. I'm trying to find a decent used VCR to transfer VHS to DVD. There's so many out there now, but who knows for how long? Wish I knew what was good. Hopefully this site will help...
