Resize output of scanned slides?
This is probabally a very dumb question, but I cannot easily find a straight answer so I will ask it here.
My scanning software has an option to "resize" scanned slides. Now, it defaults to 400%, but my question is does that actually improve matters or just eat disc space. My thought here is the scanner is limited to 4800 dpi, so "resizing" it should not be any better than just scanning the slide at 100% and 4800 dpi. Am I missing something here? |
What is the software?

HP Solution Center? Or some component thereof.
I did a side by side test and really could not discern any difference. |
