I have digital photos on a CF card that I would like to display on a HD TV set which is equipped with a SD card slot but not a CF card slot. What would be the most simple approach to doing so? I would prefer not to use a PC as an itermediary device if possible. Is it possible to transfer digital info from a CF to a SD card? If you have an answer, could you use simple terms. Thank you
It can't be done that I know of. You'll have to have a computer with both a CF card slot and and SD (or SDHC) card slot. The cards add themselves with drive letters, and you copy files as normal.

There may be some cameras out there equipped with both SD and CF cards, with an ability to transfer files between them, but I doubt it. I forget which model dSLR has both SD and CF slots, but I'm not aware of it having the ability to copy files between cards anyway.

Sorry.
