Hoping someone can help me out in little old New Zealand.
I want to buy an Epson fastfoto ff-640 (Not currently available ANYWHERE in NZ or Australia) from the US but I am not sure if it will convert and work here. Anyone got any ideas?
Not sure I want to take the risk with the costs to get it here. Epson, online and via NZ office have been less than helpful.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
thanks
Michele

The only issue would be the included power supply. Most companies will ship units with a universal switching 100-240v 50/60Hz AC adapter, but some will ship with a 120VAC unit for US use. If that is the case, you'll have to buy a 240VAC power brick to use it in New Zealand.

Epson makes some nice scanners.

NJRoadfan is correct. Most electronics only care about the DC in, not the AC (supplied by the AC adapter), since the AC is concerted to DC. Simply acquire a local AC adapter that outputs the correct DC volts/amps. Most items use a standard AC/DC conversion like 12V 1.5A. Few have oddball volts/amps that make finding a replacement supply challenging.

Look at the power supply to see if it is dual voltage. Many are. If not, you'll need an adapter or a new power brick.
