What is scanner cleaning paper made of

I'm looking voor cleaning paper for my scanner. But I have problemen finding it in stores in my country. This is probably because I don't know what it's called. So the only thing I keep finding are lens cleaning sets that cost a bundel, containing about 10 towels. I'm looking for more then a hundred (big pack). So I figured that it might be easier to find if I actually knew the name of the cleaning paper.

Even AA-50177 paper? If I got this correctly, microfiber cloth can actually only be use once, seeing that you can 't actually clean it. So that woud be a ver expensive undertaking. And using the correct cotton tips woud taken a long time. I know the stort about paper Being wood. But this kind of paper is especially designed to clean lenses. So what am I missing here?

I don't know where you heard that microfiber can't be cleaned, some can, some can't clean so well. A 100% soft cotton t-shirt or piece of clothing is what most hard users employ.

Lens cleaning paper is coated with silicon that leaves a waxy residue, and makes very fine abrasions that accumulatively leave a subtle fog on lens surfaces. I stopped using them when I found out what lens cleaning paper did to my expensive nikon Nikkor lenses. You're not missing anything, but use whatever you wish. It's your scanner.
