Hi yes it capture to ProRes in mac os but i think you need first to copy some files to QuickTime to Library/Quicktime/ folder i did post here about it for my Aja IO LA but it's the same for Matrox...

Hi i did buy a Snell TBS800 and it looks to work very good it does have firmware 3.05c and 3.05b i think latest is 3.05d but the servers are down so i can not get it :/

it's possible to use AJA IO LA as stand-alone...

it's possible to use AJA IO LA as stand-alone unit like a some kind of TBC

but you need ProIO_ControlPanel_v1.2 to change setting if needed then you can disconnect it from the computer and use it...
