USB port connection problems, mouse and keyboard not found

for some reason my computer isn't read from any of my usb ports i contect my mouse and external dvd drive but it doesn't automatically read them i even tried add them as new hardware but still won't...

only reason i asked is because i saw some videos that were twenty minutes or longer on youtube and just curious on how they managed to do it i didn't bother to watch the video so i guess that answers...

question about compression

just want to know what is the best software to use to compress a 20 minute episode to 100MB without editing the video into parts

that might be it but i am not aware of it and how would it only shutdown my laptop when only burning dvds and when i do something else it is fine i have never heard of software that just shuts down...

PROBLEMS WITH DVD SHRINK

OKAY HERE IS THE PROBLEM I COPY THE MOVIE TO MY COMPUTER WITH DVDFAB DECRYPTER THEN I OPEN IT IN DVD SHRINK DO THE BACK UP THING AND ABOUT 20 MINUTES THROUGH SHRINKING MY COMPUTER SAYS STANDING BY...

having problems with lite on dvd recorder

okay here is my problem i put a movie in to watch and it started up fine then it froze i tried turning it off with the power button but it did not work so i unplugged it and plugged it back in it...

here is my problem i use dvd decryptor to take episodes of a dvd i run them through virtual dub after that through tmpgenc to try and make them smaller but when i load the episode in ulead dvd...

does anyone happen to know what the best dvd copying software is i read dvd cloner3 is the best but do not want to go out and spend 50 to 60 dollars if it doesn't even remove the current copy...
