So, I recently got a Sony CCD-TRV615 Camcorder for digitizing tapes and it did come with its AC power adapter. However, I wanted to buy a new battery for it as I may, in rare cases, use it for its intended purpose which is recording footage on it. The camera did come with its original NP-F330 battery, but it is dead due to it being from 1998. I did see some replacement batteries on eBay and it begged the question of what batteries can a CCD-TRV615 take? I ask because I want a battery with a longer battery life, if possible, or does any battery work as many eBay listings say that the battery is a replacement for multiple battery models (ex: NP-F330 NP-F530 NP-F570 NP-F730 NP-F750 NP-F960). Thanks

As long as the form factor and the connectors are the same it should work, usually batteries with longer play time are thicker, Or just look at the MAh figures and compare them to what's written on your stock battery. Double the number, double the time, not rocket science.

It takes InfoLithium "L" batteries which are commonly available and used by all sorts of equipment nowadays.
