Memorex is just a brand name, not a blank DVD manufacturer. You have to find out what the media ID is, in order to learn who manufactured it. Based on that information, you can ascertain the quality of the blank disc. In all likelihood, it's going to be one of the lower quality manufacturers, such as CMC. And in that case, no, it would not be suggested for archival uses.
Media ID tools can be found here:

Then see the
Blank DVD Quality Review for more details on the media ID, and how it ranks with others.
That will reveal most of what you need to know.
Memorex has
never been a quality name brand for blank media. Not for audio cassettes, not for videotapes, not for CD-R and CD-RW, nor for any kind of DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW or DVD-RAM. That company tends to scrape the bottom of the barrel, slapping their brand name sticker on the cheapest outsourced crap they can find. It's about maximum profits for the lowest-dollar tapes/discs. Their reputation earned them the nickname "Memorsux" among audio/video hobbyists as far back as the 1990s.
