For those DVD burners in the Southeast region. You can purchase JVC Premium DVD blank media at PUBLIX. Yes! Publix (Yes, the grocery store) has 25 pk of JVC DVD blank media for $13.99! For those not in the know, JVC Premium DVD blank media is TAIYO YUDEN blank media! Yes. TAIYO YUDEN over the counter at reasonable prices. Sure, it's cheaper at Supermediastore.com but for those that need premium blank media immediately, try PUBLIX! Previously my immediate goto blank media has been TDK DVD+R at at Office Depot or Radio Shack but that's only class B Ritek media w/F16 coating. Not all Publix but the newer built stores have the JVCs. Finally! Over the counter Premium media.

To confirm.... the media ID comes back as TYG02, TYG03, YUDEN000T02 or YUDEN000T03 in software?
We're not just going on brand name packaging only?

Ritek's Fuji-based media is actually really good. It's what we've started to refer to as non-archival premium media. It will create a new "2nd Class" category (anything currently 2nd Class will be shifted to a 3rd Class "Budget Media" grouping), with four main entries: historical EOL 8x/16x TDK, historical Prodisc, and current FTI and RitekF discs. Historical non-F Ritek is 3rd class.

I've not yet finished writing and/or approving the reviews, guides and articles pending for Q1 2012 publish.
