Hi guys,
I just noticed that Optodisc's web domain expired. Does anybody know whether they still exist? They have been knee-deep in financial troubles for a long time and I wouldn't be surprised if they went bankrupt.

Optidsc kind of disappared from the radar after it went bankrupt (reorganization) back in 2008. Yes, it was millions in the hole. The bankruptcy should have taken care of that, but it may have gotten bad again. Optical discs are just not as profitable as they were 10 years ago, when the company was stringer. It made pretty good DVD-R discs back then, too. (I still have many, and they're still fine.)

They made 25GB Blu-ray discs a few years ago. You can find a few stores that sell them.
Example; http://www.genesysdtp.com/optodisc.htm

I think you know all this, of course.

After the early BD-R media ... nothing. Not a peep from Optodisc. Even the BD-R was not very widespread, likely meaning reduced production, which in turns likely means economic downtimes.

Like you, I'm not really sure.
