Hi,

I am doing an archival project for Harvard Law School and we have a few VHS tapes that we would like to digitize using a SR-W5/7U and a

If anyone has one of the two decks, and would be willing to work with us, we would be happy to credit and compensate them for it.

Many thanks for your consideration.

The SR-W5 and W7 are not suggested at this late date. The machines cannot be fixed, and I've not seen a decent one in 10 years now.

Furthermore, it was not always the best unit for all kinds of tapes. For example, anything EP/SLP speed. (For that, you'd want the Panasonic AG-1980P).

I'd need to know more about the tapes, before giving advice on what to get.
