Turn off Panasonic AG-1980 auto rewind?

Hello everyone.

Just bought a Panasonic AG-1980 and am pleased with the output. I would like to turn off the auto-rewind at the end of the tape to save some wear and tear on the machine.

Is this possible? If so, how? Thanks.
