So I decided to upgrade to the free W10 OS, and reinstalling all my capture applications. I am trying to figure out which drivers to install.

Should I go with Vista 64-bit Install\Vista\Bin64\Setup.exe ?

or Driver Update from diamondmm.com, VISTA® 32/VISTA® 64 DRIVER VER 22 (2008-08-05) ?

Is the ATI Catalyst Media Center required ? It failed to install properly in Windows 10 during installation . I don't recall ever using this app before when capturing with VirtualDub.

Or anyone already managed to get theirs working in W10?

Thanks,

Try the Vista 64-bit drivers first.
No, you don't have to install CMC if you're only going to use VirtualDub.

I set one up on Windows 10 a little over a week ago. I used the 64-bit Vista drivers from here:

http://www.diamondmm.com/tvw600usb-a...er-hd-600.html

The only thing of note was that I was careful to install the drivers prior to connecting the capture stick the first time. I don't remember if it required a reboot after the driver install. (If it asked to, I would have).

After that, I plugged it in and VirtualDub found it immediately.

thx, I installed VISTA® 64 DRIVER VER 22 (2008-08-05) even though I had AMD Catalyst Control for my radeon card. It was able to recognize the latest drivers and only installed the missing files.

For anyone trying to find these drivers. The webpage on diamond's site is gone, but the URL to download the drivers is still valid.

http://www.dmmdownload.com/downloads..._XP_VER_22.zip

I'm also attaching them to this post.

File Type: zip TV_WONDER_600_USB_DRIVERS_XP_VER_22.zip (19.14 MB, 80 downloads)

Thank you for all this. I'm getting Windows 10 this week. (Win7 isn't compatible with a lot of newer processors, i'm learning.)
