Hi. I've got an ATI Radeon All-in-Wonder X600 JMR-X600PRO-128-CO X600 Pro 128MB DDR PCI Express (PCIe) DVI/VGA.

I'm not interested in the TV tuner. I just only want a second display driver that works. My OS is Windows 7 x64 and I have got the latest drivers from AMD, namely 10-2_legacy_vista32-64_dd_ccc.exe. Any time I try to run anything fancy on the display which is connected to the card I get a BSOD due to some atikmdag.sys which seems to be unable to handle the chore. Not even a movie.

Is there a workaround?

Have you tried the Omega drivers?

I have run a AIW X800XT on Windows 7 x64 without a problem. The Vista WDDM drivers work fine. The card will work under Windows 8 and 10 after disabling the "Fast Boot" function too.

If I recall, Windows Update will auto download the correct driver on 7. I would uninstall the driver obtained from AMD and let Windows Update have a shot at it.

Also, uninstall the Catalyst Control Panel. That seems to be a common cause of the crashing.

Thank you very much for your reply! I haven't tried the Vista Drivers but Windows 7 installed its own WDDM drivers at the very beginning and the card continued crashing. It was only then that I tried the AMD drivers, to no avail. I do not use the Catalyst Control Panel so I never installed it, just the drivers. I followed lordsmurf's suggestions and installed the Omega drivers. I have just tried playing a couple of videos and so far it hasn't crashed. I will keep you informed.

Thank you very much for your reply! I followed the your suggestions and installed the Omega drivers. I have just tried playing a couple of videos and so far it hasn't crashed. I keep my fingers crossed though . The utility program that comes with the drivers wouldn't run on Windows 7 x64. I will keep you informed.
