Hello all members here at DigitalFAQ. Not sure if it is the right section to post an introduction post but since I couldn't find any specific introduction section I thought I should post in this General Discussion section. How are you all doing

This is why I didn't even bother to take photos. For one thing, we were not in the path of totality. All we saw here was dimmer sun (not much different than dusk), slight cooling (to 75 F), and nothing special in the shadows (no crescents that I kept reading about).

Even with my fisheye, the was nothing overly special about the scenes that day.

In 2024 we'll be in the path of totality, so I'll try then.

We are in the Puget Sound near Seattle and yes not in the path either. We were a few hundred miles north. Hope all is well in Texas what with Harvey and all. I understand it is a big one.
