I followed the Blank DVD Media Review guide and went for Sony *Made-in-Taiwan* DVD-R when I couldn't find Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim media.

The media-id is CMC MAG AM3.

Does it use Fuji Oxonol dye like the Ritek made Sony media?
Where does it stand when compared to TY and Verbatim?

Any advice would be highly appreciated!

Ouch, CMC. Not good stuff, never has been (15+ years), probably never will be.
CMC does not use oxonol.
CMC discs should not even be in the same sentence with the likes of Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden.
