Good day all;

I am seeking some advice on the type of equipment to purchase (new or used ) for a 4 video camera setup. The type of camera could range from a dslr to a broadcast camera, so thats not an issue at all.
What type of mixing board and or switcher, seems to be a bit of an issue from the start.

The setup goes something like this. A large venue hall. 400 seating capacity. 4 cameras. One forward facing, may need to be a broadcast quality due to the distance. 2 flanking and one extra. A rear projection system, back stage. Now at this point I need a mixer. And or a switcher. I'm a bit blind here. I'm not sure of how many channels I need? What extras are necessary? Brand? Power/wattage? Cost is an issue.

I need to be able to switch between cameras without any lag time. And when not using cameras, images and video snippets will be used to fill in the blanks.

I appreciate any advice you can give me.
