I have this strange problem while combining video clips created by cell phone. I am using the excellent "TMPGEnc MPEG Smart Renderer 5" for this purpose.

The format of the video clips is AVC Baseline@L3.1

The video clips play fine on VLC Player if played individually.

However, when I tried to combine the video clips using TMPGEnc MPEG Smart Renderer 5 to create an overall video clip, one of the clips is coimg out upside down (as if rorated by 180 degrees).

When I carefully checked in the "Clip Properties" in TMPGEnc, the specific clip that is appearing upside down has a Rotation Flag set to "Rotate 180 Degrees (Default)". I am assuming this is what causing the TMPGEnc to rotate the video to 180 degrees while clubbing it with the other clips. The remaining clips do not have any rotation mentioned in their Clip Properties. (Attached screenshot of Clip Properties for both the clips).

I am not even able to edit the rotate flag to change the rotation of the problematic clip as the option is greyed out.

The strange thing is, VLC Media Player is playing all the individual clips perfectly fine (not upside down).

Please help me resolve this issue.

Upside-down video is almost always a system codec conflict.
