Hi all!
When i moved last, i found a little used JVC i purchased as part of my post-divorce A/V upgrades.
All excited about going through the box of SVHS tapes. Unfortunately, the player got through 2 tapes and that was about it. Now it loads and threads the tape, then powers down immediately. Is this a recycling-only project?

Sounds like the dynamic drum syndrome if it is equipped with one, Does the drum spins? or nothing happens beyond threading the tape?
I can't look it up with the wrong model # you posted, You have to be precise when asking for help don't just assume the members will guess for you.

You still haven't answered all the questions.

Thanks so much for taking the time to help. This mod appears beyond my scope. I guess I'll just store it until VCRs come back in style!
