Can anyone here tell me how the jog/shuttle mechanism comes apart on a Sony SL-HF900.
I have well working Sony Betamax SL-HF900 with a weird problem with the jog/shuttle control. The outer ring has lost its "spring back' to center. Because of this, when I pause playback, instead of pause, it starts shuttling right away. I can move (not smoothly) the shuttle ring and change the function, but I cannot get the tape to ever pause. There seems to not be a pause spot any more. That means I also cannot use the jog wheel to move frames in pause. It will also not change the channel when the tape is stopped.
Any help would be appreciated.
