So I purchased a JVC DR-M10 before the pandemic. I got it out this Tuesday evening, hooked it up, and tested it with a commercial dvd movie. Purchased dvd rws and Friday I was going to start recording tapes with the unit.
Well, I only get the Loading error. No output to the tv. Drive will not open. Nothing. The unit just sits there and blinks Loading.
I'm going to guess from the threads below, that I need to recap the power board? I opened the unit up and did not see and leakage or bulging caps. Maybe it has not been long enough? The error could not be more than 4 or 5 days old now.

Has anyone ever made a list of what needs to be replaced for the DR-M10?
This guy did one for the DR-M1

Recapping the power supply was not the solution.
Unit slit blinks Loading. No video output.
I had to hold the eject button down for 5 minutes to get the dvd to eject.
