Panasonic AG-1980P shows no video?

Good afternoon,

I have an AG-1980P that accepts a tape, plays it, but only outputs audio. The entire time the screen remains black. I've tried both the s-video and the BNC have the same issue. Nothing shows up on the screen at all at any point in time. Any ideas?

Odd. Usually disable problem is garbled, not absent.

Did you confirm this on a TV, not just a capture card?
Or did you confirm capture card and setup is fine, using another VCR?

Using a TV and multiple tapes. Definitely odd

Did you try the antenna (CH3 RF) output to a TV?

If you have an old RF TV signal source (e.g., another working VCR) so you can feed an RF signal to the tuner section, do you get any output?
