Hello: Wondering if anyone has successfully revived a dead 40K HD digital VHS machine? Mine became progressively recalcitrant until becoming mostly inert. A friend has the power supply module right now trying to dope it out but a schematic of that at least would be helpful. My library of 1080i HD movies recorded off satellite back when my 169 time system was working perfectly are now unaccessible. Help is appreciated.

I had nextcomewireless mod on VIP111 and was recording to hard drive and burning as data to DVD-R DL (still have the discs), It was the cheapest way to get the files from point A to point B, D-VHS was way out of my reach, I do have one now. Anyway there is a thread at avsforum about this particular problem you may want to check it out.

AVS forum generates hundreds of threads weekly, finding one from the 2000's can be challenging, If the OP can spare some free time it can be found, possibly more than one thread about power supply problems of the D-VHS machines.
