Cleaning MiniDV/Hi8/VCR heads with swabs?

Hello!

Just was browsing through the posts and wanted to get a confirmation for 2021. Is it still advisable to use either chamois swabs or DSLR cleaning swabs + 99.9% isopropyl alcohol to clean MiniDV/Hi8/VCR heads?
