My Panasonic ES10 no longer responds to its OEM remote. Yes, the remote is working. I changed the batteries, nothing. I pointed the remote at my smartphone camera and it sees the light blinking when a button is pressed, so by that logic I assume it's working, and that its something on the machine itself that's not "seeing" the remote (either it's dirty or the "eye"/sensor has failed). Has anybody else experienced this? If so, what was the fix?

Probably sensor fail. I've seen that happen on some JVC decks.
Easy/lazy fix is swap from parts deck. (If not attached to mainboard.)
