I've recently purchased a Toshiba Diomage SV-771 VCR, which was sold as parts or repair. When I got it, I noticed a very loud clicking, which the seller said was happening to it. I soon noticed the clicking was of a worm skipping against the blue cam gear, which is made to move the guide arms to place to load the tape. What's weird about this, is that the guide arms go into place, and back, and then it starts clicking. The tray loading mechanism is hit and miss, sometimes when I first power it up, and hit the open button, it will start clicking, other times it will open the tray, and it will start to click, and I have to push the tray back in by hand. All of the belts are still gripping quite well, which is good, but any advice will be very helpful, thanks!
