Hi ya'll. Hopefully someone will want to tackle this one. Your assistance is most appreciated.

My Samsung VT-215T VCR will only accept a tape while plugged in but with the power off. There is much resistance when the power is on.

Once the tape is loaded, the unit powers itself on but the power indicater lamp blinks constantly. I assume this is a fault indicator.

Also, the take-up arms do not actuate once the tape is loaded and the pinch roller only moves half the distance to the capstain shaft. As one might expect, FFD, REW, and PLAY do not respond.

The tape will eject and I've repeted this procedure many times with the lid removed but do not see anything out of the ordinary. Is there an actuator switch that may be at fault or possibly one of the 5 motors?

Thank you for your efforts.
