Ok, so today when I was testing out my BVP-4 I noticed I had what appeared to be a loose connection. I tracked it down to the S-Video input on the front of the DataVideo TBC-1000. If I move it slightly, I see a disturbance on the screen. Does this mean there is a problem with this TBC? It's not significant. If I don't bump it, there are no issues. I don't know if the disturbance would be transferred to my DVD or not, but if this unit is defective, I need to know. The color changes a bit when I move the connector. I switched the ends around and it still did the same thing.

^ I had the same problem with my unit. I sent it in (during warranty period) and they fixed it swiftly. It ended up being a broken mounting plate. If it's not under warranty, you can just buy the plate and have them ship it to you and install it yourself. I sent my whole unit in since it was under warranty, but it didn't sound too difficult to install (there is really not much in the box -- the TBC board, a DA board, and a power board).

Just FYI, if it's not under warranty and you send it in, it's a $75.00 estimate fee, although they apply that towards your repairs.
