JVC S-VHS VCR - HR-S6722
forward/reverse search initiated by wind/rewind keys in remote while in pause /play mode, and shuttle ring on VCR itself is faulty. The effect is a fast wind/rewind, with no playback output signal.
These controls work on two other JVC S-VHS VCRs I have.
I think it is an electronic or on-board computer logic fault. Any Ideas?
I am concerned that one failure can imply more to come!
Forward search works from big 4 way button on remote, but reverse search goes though single frame modes first. This is not as per the manual, but all the VCRs do the same here.
