Daytek P30 DVD recorder firmware?

I own a Daytek P30 DVD recorder. Does anyone have the hacked firmware for this model? If not does anyone have the factory upgrade firmware? The firmware on there is 4901-1140-0090 it is ancient, does not have the three hour recorder mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have the exact same problem. the need to convert a Daytek P30 to a Liteon. it seems to have been successfully done in this link...

i just can't seem to get it done. maybe it is my sheer inexperience. could someone explain step by step, the method to flash, what exactly would the file name be, where to find it, to use DVD +r or +rw, etc. some steps are obvious.

any help appreciated.
