Just got a non working JVC SR VS20U. The SVHS side works, but the loading basket for the mini dv side seems to have been damaged. Also, when I took off the front panel, everything was fine, but now the left ribbon cable that attaches to the front panel has gotten damaged, so the machine gets power, but needs that cable in order to operate the machine. Would anyone be able to help me with a s/m for this machine or the p/n for that cable? Also, would anyone be interested in this for parts? It does come with remote and manual. If interested, pm me and we could work out a deal.

i tend to avoid these decks - the mini-dv sides are always borked it seems.
if you have mini-dv tapes just use a camcorder

i have a bunch of JVC ribbon cables - (the thin white ones)
would need to know length and how many conductors - pic would help

Ok, I am going to need four things for this deck. First off, I'm going to need the 18 pin ribbon cable that attaches toLPA10126 Display PWB Assy. Next, I'm going to need the 16 pin ribbon cable that attaches to LPB10126 Jack PWB Assy. Last two things I need are the tape door slot for the mini dv side and I also need the mini cassette housing assy as that is what was damaged.

probably best off buying a parts deck if you need that much.
genuine JVC parts are STUPIDLY expensive new.

They are both a little over 3.5 inches, but less than 4 inches.

Well, JVC has one of the cables, but not the other. For the busted cable, they only want $3.17 for it. The other cable they no longer have. Do you have any parts JVC SVHS mini dv decks?
