Hello everyone. Unable to repair the power supply of my Panasonic NV FS90 (signed VEP01353) I tried to replace it using the power supply recovered from a Panasonic NV L25 (signed VEP01379) after replacing the connection connector. I did it after having checked, in the respective service manuals, that the voltages supplied to the individual pins of the connector were the same (the only exception is pin 5: on VEP01379 it indicates "REG 12 V" while on VEP01353 it indicates "REG 12.3 V") . Now the NV FS90 turns on regularly but inserting a cassette and playing it goes crazy for a few seconds (it turns off, turns on again, fast-forward the tape for a couple of seconds, turns off). At the next restart, the play starts regularly but when I stop the tape and press "eject" it repeats the same circus and then ejects the cassette when it is turned on again. I am thinking that the fault may be of the two different voltage regulators on board the two power supplies: STK5392 on VEP01379 (NV L25) and STK5391 on VEP01353 (NV FS90) for some wrong voltage. Do you think I'm thinking the right thing (and therefore changing the voltage regulator should be okay) or am I wrong?
