Panasonic AG-W1 alignment manual?
 

Any ideas where I can find the something that shows how to check for alignment (k mechanism service manual) for panasonic ag-w1?

If it's not already here, we don't have anything specific to the W1. Remember that it's just a plain VHS VCR, and the W2 and W3 are similar. We do have info on the K mechanism, if I remember correctly. It's found with one of the other Panasonic repair manuals (search).

Sometimes other VCRs are similar, and many share repair guides.

I could not find it there. I got the K mechanism manual from you guys for the AG 1980 and it was very good. The mechanisms are very different for all of them. This AG-w1 was made with a long time ago and is very strong but a pain to figure it out. Not a lot of plastic like the AG 1980, but the plastics they use in AG1980 are of very good quality compared to other ones. From what I see none of them will go out of alignment unless someone starts to play with and has no clue what is doing or are broken in pieces.... I still do not have a definitive answer of what is going on when those codes come and go randomly.
