I just recently bought an almost new JVC HR S7000U Super VHS VCR. It came with the original box, packing materials, and original unused JVC cassette. It didn't come with the manual though.

However, upon testing the machine, sometimes when I put a tape in, the loading motor makes a noise then jams and the machine shuts off. When I turn it back on, it resets itself.\

During playback or recording, the machine will abort either mode without warning.

The next issue involves rewind and fast forward in stop mode. When I try to either rewind or fast forward in stop mode, the machine will do either for a few seconds then stop. I thought that the idler tire was the culprit so I cleaned it, got some black gunk off it, but the problem still persisted.

I would like to know how to solve these issues and what belts I need to replace and HOW TO replace the belts, especially the idler tire.

That sounds similar to this: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vcr-...0am-keeps.html
I know it happens on the 9800 as well.
