I have been trying to locate the dew sensor on my VTR. The only picture I found online of a sensor is attached. I have also attached photo of my machine--is the circled area the dew sensor? I have tried forced air drying of that part but my dew warnings have not disappeared from doing so. Only waiting several days for the deck to dry itself has worked.

Yes it is, but I imagine it would be similar to a VCR's. I even purchased the service manual--which I'll upload here in the future--but the manual only says that the dew sensor should be cleaned along the pattern, nothing more.
