Panasonic NV-FS200 eject problem?

Dear fellow Enthusiasts,
I am debating wether to purchase a PANASONIC NV-HS200 unit with what is described as a 'tape will not eject ' problem. If I could in simplistic terms suggest perhaps somewhat naievely it could be a loading motor drive IC not recieving a logic HIGH or perhaps hopefully a drive belt. Either way I have tried to source the two offending culprits to no availability. If anyone could if possible redirect me to a genuine panasonic parts dealership or lead me to a common offending fault on this uniti,I:salute: would be most appreciative.Ive managed to download a G mechanical mechanism supplement to the manual.I would upload the manual but im not yet profficient at doing so but will do so when able.Kind Regards everyone concerned Frederick

I don't know that parts are available anymore.
The last time I had a AG-1980 repaired, I had to buy a "broken" unit (also bad eject) to scavenge the mainboard (which was fine).

Did you fix it? These are G decks - absolutely no loading belts - the mechanism does that by solenoids and levers. If the mechanism is out of time then no eject is possible. However the mechanism is VERY complicated - too complicated actually. They revised if for 1994 and gave us the K deck with simpler parts. The only advice I can give is to check the tape is not spooled out in the stuck tape.
