Panasonic NV-FS200EG - Do I need it?

Hi guys. As you all probably know by now, I have a bunch of 100 - 200 very problematic tapes to transfer. I already own a Panasonic NV-HS960, Panasonic NV-HS1000 and a JVC HR-S7600EU. I've bought them all used so I don't really know how worn they are. They seems to work okey, but I am still experiencing issues with some of my tapes (jitter, head clogs etc.).

Now I've been offered to buy a Panasonic NV-FS200EG. According to the seller, it's in excellent condition with very little use. It's only been used for playback of 10-20 tapes in total. The price is pretty good also.

I'm very tempted to buy it but the question is: DO I REALLY NEED IT?
Is there any tape in the world that the Panasonic NV-FS200EG can play back better than the 3 VCR's I already have?

Well, I got it for only $80 so I couldn't resist the temptation and bought it... and I probably won't regret it! To me, this unit actually looks like brand new inside with no signs of wear at all. Even the "auto-head cleaning roller" is perfectly white and looks like new. I see no signs of bad capacitors (yet) either. It works like a charm. I really didn't belive VCR's in this excellent condition existed in year 2015

I've been using it for 2 days now and I've not yet experienced "head clogs" on any of my tapes! :congrats:
Just adding some pictures of my "new" unit :)

Everything looks nice and clean inside. I don't think the cover has ever been removed before.

Don't think I've ever seen such a bright white and clean "auto-head cleaning roller" before

You always need more VCRs -- especially those in excellent condition. :)

Well done - and congratulations on getting a £1000 vcr so cheaply - I'm more than a little envious!

Lordsmurf: You're perfectly right! :congrats:
Quasipal: Thanks a lot! I truly felt like I was "the luckiest guy in the world", actually :)
