Here's the issue: VCR was working fine, but now takes and ejects tapes, but won't play or fast forward. Either of these actions cause tape on the FF side to spool out but not to be taken into the receiving end.

Anyone who can provide me a working fix without a repair shop gets a $20 via PayPal donation

How do all the belts look in there? Maybe one has disintegrated and/or fallen off.

Belts are fine. The side in question is tighter than the other, but nothing is broken/loose.
