Panasonic VCR Turns Itself Off
 

I have a Panasonic PV-9455S 4 Head Hi-Fi Stereo. Got it off Ebay, first tape I put in got stuck. Opened it up to retrieve the tape, made a few adjustments and now anytime I try to turn on the VCR the upper cyclinder unit spins for about 20 seconds and then the VCR turns itself off. During that time the main cam gear makes a couple of adjustments. See attached video. Any suggestions or thoughts about what is going on? I confirmed that the unit is in the EJECT Position Confirmation, but still nothing...
