Static lines in picture when playing tapes in DVR670KU - otherwise works good. Online search has given me the following information -

"If your lines are very short and random, they may be caused by
a dirty, missing, or improperly positioned video drum static brush. In most
VCRs, you will see a metal strip with a carbon contact pressing against the
center of the video drum spindle either above or below the deck (or in rare
instances, BETWEEN the upper and lower cylinders). The brush is there to
provide electrical contact between the rotating video drum and the stationary
lower cylinder and chassis..... Carefully remove the
static brush and clean the end of the spindle and carbon contact. This may be
all you need to do to remove the static lines from your picture."

Would love to try this but not sure where this brush may be on this unit. I've taken the top off but really dont want to dismantle the entire unit if I dont have to. Does anyone know where this might be located? Also wondering if anyone has a service/repair manual available?

Thanks in advance.
