Hello,
I have VCR Panasonic NV-FS200EG (PAL) and I have a problem with the video quality for a few minutes after the first start...
The video is smooth and stable (I think there will be no problem with the video head), but there is a green tint.
The video is fine, but the image is very green (for example blue sky is "green sky").
After some time (a few minutes) and changes (rewinding the cassette, stopping, playing), the green tint disappears and the picture is perfectly fine.
I believe the problem will go away with warming up (but I'm not sure).
Do you think it could be the capacitors causing it?

I am attaching a photo of the source part. There was a lot of dust and grease, so I vacuumed it up for now.
It looks better now, but still some parts are optically bad.

Thank you very much for the suggestion...

I am not an expert in this area, but this video might be interesting to you (I believe your vcr is European equivalent of same machine):-

Maybe your vcr capacitor(s) are reacting to temperature changes as they begin to fail.

The AG1980P is very different to the NV-FS200. The older AG1970 is very similar though.

It could be bad capacitors though yeah. The issue clearing itself after being on for a little while is very typical of capacitor issues. I would suspect capacitors on the Y/C or TBC boards rather than the power supply (that's not to say that those couldn't be starting to go bad from use/age too). Not sure which ones in particular though.
