hi guys. the rather elaborate analog audio stage on my 1998 PIONEER DV-09 DVD
just went balky on me.

all else works perfect, just no sound from the output stage.
disc spools up, relays on audio stage click on, SOMETIMES a single audible POP, but never any sound beyond.

this a simple component problem? something i can fix myself with a VOM and proper spare parts,
or am i better off having a tech look at it, or getting a replacement DV-09?

(( AUDIO OUTPUT STAGE IS PCB ON RIGHT SIDE FACING ))

Seems nobody here responded, probably no experience with this unit.
Curious if a fix was ever found?

This was an unanswered question or unresolved issue found during a site audit. It's hard to have an FAQ when the answers are missing, or final outcomes are unknown. At The Digital FAQ support forum, questions are never intentionally ignored, and may have been missed due to a forum glitch or human error. More details on the audit. (In some cases, threads have been edited/updated with newer information.)

afraid not.

i always did mean to find a donor 09 with a good analog stage.
in the meantime, i picked up a 2001 PIONEER DV-37 for a stand-in,
and came to like it's decent build and bang-on reliability to the point that i have ended up sticking with it.

i mean, hundreds of discs, and six years later, the 37 is still running like new,
with not even one single glitch or fault...
