Importing a Datavideo TBC-1000 from USA?

I'm writing you hoping that you can help me out with this. You seem to be the expert on everything regarding TBC's and capture devices. I'm planning on importing a Datavideo TBC 1000 from the USA and have it shipped over here (Spain). Is it safe to use a plug adaptor with the unit? Will this affect the signal in any way or form? I guess I will be fine using an adapter. I even read in the forums that an AC adapter for an external HDD will work just fine with the unit?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Thank you.

TBCs needs native power. No plug shape adapters, no steps converters.

The DataVideo TBC-1000 is one of the more lenient TBCs, in terms of power supply units (PSUs), aka AC adapters. Officially, it's 12V 1.2A, and center-positive. But HDDs almost universally come with 12V 2A center-positive adapters, and these work quite well. Not only because the volts match, and amps within tolerances, but also because HDDs usually come with quality name-branded adapters. Not just generic Chinese junk.

Good PSUs (AC adapters) will not have noise.
