Hello, my name is Ante and im from croatia. I just opened my own business as a graphic designer but there is to many people here who are looking for someone who can transfer they old vhs tape to pc. So i decide to make some money that way. I have my own VCR (nordmende spectra v 1444 sv) but it is not that good,i believe he doesnt have build in TBC and you guys write on forum that it is very important to have it so i decide to buy new one. I found out that tapes in europe are all PAL so i need PAL VCR to transfer vhs to pc right? i found this one https://vcrshop.nl/index.php?route=p...vhs+tbc&page=5 im not sure if that is pal vcr but it looks good, if i got it right that means i cant use NTSC VCR to transfer PAL vhs tapes ? Problem is i cant find anyone on ebay or europe who sell vcr with build in TBC that are PAL, finding a good TBC is also very very hard only site i found is this https://vcrshop.nl/index.php?route=p...search=vhs+tbc i see if i wanna do this business in europe is way more harder to find PAL stuff then in US, and there is a lot more options. So i saw this guy on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sn_TDa9zY1c and i think hes quality is very good so as software im gonna use what he uses i even order Syntek STK1160 , i know your saying that ATI 600 USB is great for that i just coudn't find it. Can you please help me find or suggest good built in TBC vcr for PAL, and outside TBC, for Europe
Thank you

That (and pretty much all VCRs on vcrshop) are PAL. I would consider going with the HR-S7xxx JVC series rather than the HR-S9xxx (or 8xxx) series of JVC machines though, the dynamic drum systems in the 8xxx and 9xxx models are a bit fragile and don't have any use for capturing and they cost more.

Thank you for answer im reading this post http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...ing-guide.html that lordsmurf puted on, so im trying to compare which is PAL and which is NTSC and i dont see JVC HR-S7700 series anywhere, does it mean than he is not good or he is not for PAL ? You would recommend me one of this 2 then ? https://vcrshop.nl/index.php?route=p...search=vhs+tbc ( JVC HR-S7600 Super VHS ET Digital TBC / DNP )
OR https://vcrshop.nl/index.php?route=p...vhs+tbc&page=2 ( JVC HR-S7700 Super VHS ET Digital TBC / DNP ), but i see there is one more https://vcrshop.nl/index.php?route=p...vhs+tbc&page=2 only diference is that 300 euro one has DNR and these other 2 have DNP. What is diference between DNR and DNP, witch one is better for capture, price isnt problem.

from this link http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...html#post13441 i see ATi All in wonder cards are great and i found one https://www.ebay.com/itm/ATi-All-in-...wAAOSwyWlbrjlh , but i also read somewhere that USB - Live2 from Hauppauge is a great option for capture. From this ATi card ( which i hope is PAL frendly ) and Usb live2 which would be better option ? p.s. sorry for all this questions but i really dont have anyone to ask and i wanna do good job

I think the PAL list is just missing a few models, like the 7700 and the 8xxx models (which are comparable to the NTSC 7xxx models).

Not seeing anything about DNP? All of the JVCs consumer models with TBC have combined TBC/DNR function as far as I know. They're broadly similar other than the older 8500 and 9500 which lacks the "picture modes" which adjust the analog processing and only have and EDIT on/off setting instead. I think there were some changes to the electronics along the way, but I don't know if there was a big difference.

I don't know how the SR-388 compares, I presume it's similar to the other JVC models but someone else would have to answer that.

SR-388 was discussed here some years ago: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vcr-...388e-good.html

The recommended list may be missing a few model numbers, on the first posts, but latter posts may have addition that I've not yet consolidated.
